HOW TO TEMPORARILY LOCK YOUR PC WHEN SOMEONE ENTER WRONG PASSWORD

Welcome on-board! Sometimes when you are away from your Office desk, Hostel Room or even Shop, Somebody (colleagues, friends) may try to login into your computer by guessing your password, I guess that has happened to you before now, Right? But the Good thing about Window is that someone can enter incorrect password as many as possible, try that on iPad, You go smell yourself.
Today, We will teach you How to use Windows Security Settings to temporarily lock your computer if wrong password is entered more than the allowed couple of times. This will make it harder to guess your password as after 3 wrong passwords your system will get locked for 30 minutes.

HOW TO LOCK YOUR COMPUTER AFTER 3 FAILED PASSWORD ATTEPMT

1. Click on the Start Button, Type Local Security Policy in the Search Box and hit the Enter Button.

2. Then you will see a Result at the Top of the Search Box, Click on Local Security Policy, Now From the left window pane expand Account Policies and select Account Lockout Policy option in it.
3. Now in the right window pane look for the Account Lockout Threshold option and double click on it.

4. A new window will be open, It will show 0 by Default, Change it to how many invalid password attempts someone will have try before you want your computer to lock. I used 3 for Mine.

Now Click on Apply Button, Then OK.
5. Now a Box will show, Just Ignore it and Click the OK button, Thats all.

TO CHANGE THE TIME TO WAIT WHEN WRONG PASSWORD IS ENTERED!
Go to the Step 3 Above and Instead of Clicking on Account Lockout Threshold, Just Double click on Reset Account Lockout counter after, Change it to anytime you want and click on the OK button.
ENJOY!!!!
